The Grind Continues
A busy morning.Getting a job: Several resumes sent out and a couple of calls made. Checked with SC to see if Box Office was hiring.
Getting an improv job: Followed up on a directing inquiry. Sent a resume to the IO Training Center.
Other improv: Did groundwork for putting together new project. Picked up House Managing shift at PG.
And so it continues.

The Hilarity Never Ends
So, I really won't get into the specifics of why I was fired from the last job. Let's just say things didn't work out and there was frustration on both ends. So, I've been waiting for the paycheck for the time I worked.
Supposedly, I should have received it early last week but I didn't get it until today (strangely enough, the envelope is postmarked with the date I sent an e-mail asking where it was...).
Thankful for rent and cable money for this month, I open the envelope.
sigh.
My e-mail:
[Supervisor],
I'm laughing right now.
A check from [company] arrived today.
It's for the pay period of 3/4 to 3/17, which is correct.
It credits me with 55.51 hours (and a smidge of OT), which is correct.
However, it looks like there was a data entry error--instead of a hourly rate of 9.00, the field is empty. Instead the Amount field reads 9.00.
So instead of a check of 55.51 hours x $9.00 for an approx. gross total of $500, I have a check of 55.51 hours for a TOTAL of $9.00. After taxes, that's $8.04.
:)
Looks like the April Fools joke is on me.
Any way we can rectify this in the soonest would be nice.
I can destroy this check or cash it for the $8.04 and have that credited against the correct total. Drop me a line with how [company] would like to handle that.
Truly, an epic tale is being written about this paycheck.
